In terms of museums in Huaraz, Museo Arqueol贸gico de Ancash is one of the most extensive. Inside you can browse a well-organized collection of stone monoliths and huacos from the Recuay culture (200-700 AD) and Chav铆n culture (800-200 BC). Upstairs are displays of pottery, textiles and metal objects from later Wari, Chimu and Inca nations.
