Aldea Yanapay Project

The Aldea Yanapay website states “another way of living.” For many of the children cared for by Aldea Yanapay, that means undoing the effects of abuse promulgated at home and even in schools, where a very casually applied corporal punishment has taught violence more than it has reading or math. Aldea Yanapay, an alternative school for children from the age of six to 14, is founded on the principles of love and acceptance. Aldea Yanapay is open to volunteers who want to help children with educational and development needs, as well as teaching English, or anything else related to the well-being of children. Volunteers are compensated with lodging and food, and of course, the smiles of children regaining their self-confidence.

With aldea yanapay you have the great opportunity to share your love with kids, who need it so much! If you help for a couple of days, weeks or even months, everybody can help in different manners and ways! You will be overwhelmed by the spirit and love of yanapay! Amazing experience

One of the best things I have ever done. If you want to see someone who is on fire with love and a passion to make the world a better place, visit Yuri and the Aldea Yanapay. You will find yourself immersed in a world of exploration, love, children laughing, and teaching you so many things about the world and yourself. Even if you can only stop by for a day or two, I strongly encourage everyone to contact Yuri and visit and / or help out at the Aldea Yanapay.
