Internationally accredited by the Peruvian Ministry of Education, Máximo Nivel specializes in top-notch Spanish classes and TEFL/TESOL certification.  However, travelers can choose from a variety programs that blend travel, study and volunteer.  The TEFL/TESOL certification can be completed entirely on-site or through their hybrid program that blends on-site training with distance/online education.  A variety of volunteer projects are available, from teaching English to orphanage assistance to environmental conservation. Máximo’s Volunteer and Study program combines intensive Spanish lessons with organized excursions to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and the Amazon Jungle.  All programs include housing, meals and daily two-hour Spanish lessons. 

Most volunteers and students live at The Family House, which offers hot water, cozy yet modern bedrooms, and a communal lounge and private courtyard for travelers to relax or intermingle.  The local staff is extremely friendly, and the lovely chef, Paula, whips up a variety of fresh and piping hot meals three times a day.  Other housing arrangements are available upon request, and include private/shared apartments, hostels and family homestays.
