If you’re bored of just taking the regular bus, one option is to upgrade to the Inka Express, which provides both transportation between Cusco and Puno as well as touring opportunities. The buses are very comfortable and free tea, coffee and mineral water for the entire trip is included in the price. The trip makes fives stops, all-in-all, a 10-hour-journey, a whopping 4 hours longer than the normal bus. Note that costs are also much higher, and often your ticket does not include entrance fees to the sites, however this is a great option if you have the money and you have kids on board. While younger kids may not be too thrilled about the historical sites, they will appreciate getting off the bus and having a change of scenery every hour or so.
