The variety of Cusco hotels is amazing. The range of places to stay in the city runs from $4 youth hostels to internationally renowned hotels that charge several hundred dollars per night. In general, the quality of the Cusco hotels is very good. Backpacker hostels such tend to be clean and friendly (if loud), the mid-range hotels are charming and comfortable, and the luxury hotels offer some of the best facilities and services in the world.
Higher-end hotels, are often located in a beautiful old colonial building. If you stay in a lower-budget place, beware that it can get pretty chilly at nights in Cusco, so check that there are sufficient blankets for your needs. Whatever your budget, you’ll find the right place in Cusco. Reservations are always recommended, as the best Cusco hotels tend to fill up fast, especially in high tourist seasons, such as May to November. Out of season, prices tend to be a bit lower. If you’re in Cusco and looking around for a quiet spot, try a place off one of the main roads, as parts of the city can get very noisy.
