El Balcón Hostal

Located in the colonial center of Cusco, only three blocks from the Plaza de Armas, El Balcón overlooks the city and the surrounding mountains. This hostel was originally constructed in 1630 atop Inca agricultural terraces, and was meticulously restored in 1998 to the beautiful condition it is in today. El Balcón has 16 rooms, each with a private bathroom. Bathrooms are spacious, with showers and hot water 24 hours a day. The beds are custom made (extra long!), with 100% cotton linen sheets, 100% alpaca and wool blankets and feather pillows. The hostel also features space heaters, cable TV, local, national and international phone service, free WiFi internet access and room service. It has suites, matrimonial, single, double and triple rooms. In addition, El Balcón also offers airport pickup service, storage room, terraced garden, restaurant, laundry service and tourism information.

Traveler Reviews of El Balcón Hostal

Nice

Located in the quiet neighborhood of Vallecito, this 1940's built home converted into colonial home is an excellent option for a classy, tranquilo experience. Above the entry, there is a colonial era wooden church balcony, similar to those seen in the main Plaza in Lima, giving it an air of elegance not found in other hotels in the region.
