Hospedaje Tumi
Hortun Tuni - Rick Segreda
Hortun Tuni - Rick Segreda

This inexpensive but likeable lodge makes good use of its old colonial structure and offers attractive, clean, freshly painted rooms, and--most notably for its low price--electric heaters for coping with Cusco’s notoriously brisk nights. There is a common area kitchen and television, the latter set up on a patio, along with sofas for lounging and relaxing. Breakfast is available; even though Hospedaje Tumi is within walking distance of the Plaza de Armas, it is also sufficiently distant by several blocks from nighttime noise. Internet, phone and money exchange services are also available. The hotel also serves as a travel agency, and sells bus tickets to as far away as Puno and La Paz

Hospedaje Tumi

The hostel is fine for the price and the staff are generally friendly. But think twice before using their laundry service. We were told they would dry our clothes in their machine but instead they hung them all around the communal balcony area. 24 hours later when we wanted to pack we had to convince them to put the wet clothes in the dryer, with much muttering from the staff. Then they tried to charge us for 5 kilos instead of the 3.5 kilos that was agreed before. The laundry price is the same as the lavanderias around town that offer a fast turnaround.
