The Hostal Rojas has been in operation for 15 years, and you can tell the Rojas family takes its work seriously: the rooms are not only clean and comfortable, but belie their low-cost with high-quality furniture and bedspreads. The bathrooms are currently going under renovation, one by one, so if you choose to stay here yours might be outfitted with fresh tiles and modern plumbing, or not. By next year the facility itself should look totally brand new. Rooms start at six dollars for a private room with a shared bathroom, and go up from there. A cafeteria, laundry, safety box and medical service also come with the package.
