The Emperador Plaza is a three-star special with single rooms starting at $32 during the low season and $38 during the high season. This is less expensive than some of the other luxury hotels in the Plaza de Armas neighborhood, but it is still a luxury hotel, with plush, clean, modern, heated rooms. The safety boxes are located in the rooms themselves, rather than at the desk, and the cost includes a breakfast buffet. The Emperador Plaza recently won a prize for best customer service, and has consistently been nominated during the last six years in quality categories.
