V!VA User‘s Description
The variety of hotels in Cusco is amazing. The city offers a range of places to stay that runs from $4 youth hostels to internationally renowned, five-star hotels that charge several hundred dollars per night. The quality of the hotels in Cusco is very good. The youth hostels are clean and friendly, the mid-range hotels are charming and comfortable, and the five-star hotels offer some of the best facilities and service in the world. If you pay for a higher-end hotel, you may be staying in a beautiful old colonial building. If you stay in a lower-budget place, beware that it can get pretty chilly at nights in Cusco, so check that there are sufficient blankets for your needs. Whatever your budget, you'll find the right place in Cusco.
Reservations are always suggested, as the best Cusco hotels tend to fill up fast, especially in high tourist seasons, like May to November. Out of season, prices tend to be a bit lower. If you're in Cusco and looking around, choose a place off one of the main roads, as parts of the city can get very noisy.
