In a beautifully restored, 450-year-old house, four seasoned travelers have created a backpackers’ oasis. In a building with some interesting history (one of the biggest revolutions against the Spanish took place here), the owners have made Loki a combination of all the things they appreciate in a good hostel: fun, comfortable and safe, with good-quality services and plenty of opportunities to meet like-minded travelers. Those on a budget will appreciate the $8 per night dorm-room beds (as long as they don't mind sharing with 11 or 12 other people). There's a sunny courtyard, bar, free basic breakfast until 1pm, free internet, movie room and regular social events. This is very much a lively, party hostel however - not the place to stay if you're looking for a quiet evening in or an early night.
