While the owners call it a coffee shop, Kachivache should be known for much more. Tucked away high in the hills of San Blas, this clean, artistically rustic atmosphere—with local art on the walls—it is perfect for a break away from the city.

Chefs at Kachivache use fresh seasoning and spices to create bold, rich, flavorful entrées. Mediterranean overtones dominate the eclectic menu which includes a variety of international dishes. Especially tasty are the kabobs plates with a choice of marinated chicken, beef or seafood and fresh grilled vegetables. The Spanish omelet is another excellent and generous option, as are the assortment of gourmet sandwiches which are a deal at only four soles each. And if you are in search of a good cup of joe, there is a reason Kachivache is called a coffee shop: It has some of the strongest, boldest beans in town and will satisfy any craving.

Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Sometimes they do close randomly.)
