Restaurant

By Ricardo Segreda

The main reason people may want to visit Khipus in the trendy San Blas district is that it is the restaurant of choice of Edilberto Mérida, one of Peru's most famous painters and sculptors, who originated the now-common image of the Latin American poor with outstretched and massive hands. A new and very large Mérida sculpture of an Andean folk musician greets visitors to Khipus, along with other displays of his work. But guess what: It is also an excellent restaurant, three-storied with multiple rooms, each with its own design theme. Expert preparations of traditional and continental cooking are also offered at reasonable prices.

Traveler Reviews of

Nice place

Rating: 100%

The food was great. It was a bit quiet when I went, but maybe that is because it was lunchtime.
