Location:
Aguas Calientes, Peru

Hotel

By Ricardo Segreda

Aguas Calientes is one of the few pueblos you will find in Peru that offers its own campgrounds. It is a walk of about 2 kilometers north of Aguas Calientes, on the road leading to the winding trail towards Machu Picchu. The entrance fee is $5 per night and per tent. It features the roaring river, lots of lush green grass, a bathroom and---when staffed--snacks and drinks for sale.
