This hotel has amazing views of the peaceful old Inca town and of the fortress, the main ruins in Ollantaytambo, and great service, provided by British owner and her local husband and staff. It is very clean and has spacious gardens and is a great place to relax before and after visiting Machu Picchu and to base a visit to the Sacred Valley.

Absolutely loved my stay at Apu Lodge in the lovely town of Ollantaytambo. The Lodge is newly constructed and sits at the end of a pedestrian street with cliffs and trees surrounding it. Along the street is also a waterway which is a lovely accompaniment to the chirping birds. Watching either the sunrise or sunset from this location is a treat indeed. The couple, Aurturo and Louise are gems and are very very hospitable; even to the point of arranging assistance with your bags from the plaza or stations or from the Cactus bar and restaurant which they also own and operate and is very near the plaza and a few blocks from the lodge. Highly Highly recommended if being off the beaten path is up your alley !!!!! Oh yes, the breakfast is great too !!!! (gets a fair signal for claro broadband at the location too)
