Lodging in Ollantaytambo doesn't get much swankier or much more relaxing than Hotel Pakaritampu. Located on Avenida Ferrocarril, which links the railroad station with the town center, the hotel's country grounds quickly whisk away any residual city stress after a stint in Cusco. Its a rambling ranch-style hotel that captures only the most scenic views of the valley below and ruins above. In addition to plenty of green spaces, there are indoor and outdoor dining areas, a TV room, a library and reading room, and alpacas wandering around the grounds. The rooms are clustered in pairs throughout several buildings, and resemble comfortable homes rather than temporary lodgings. All rooms include private baths with hot water, and there are also hotel safety deposit boxes, laundry services and Internet access.
