V!VA User‘s Description

Despite its relatively small size, Ollantaytambo boasts a variety of accommodation options. In particular, the city has plenty of good budget options for backpackers taking the train to Machu Picchu. If you're really penny-pinching, then head towards the San Isidro neighborhood, where many families have turned their homes into hostel rooms ($3-5 per person). You can reach this hostel haven by following the main road through town and heading left towards the ruins.
