K'antuyoc - Hotel Ollantaytambo - Peru

Perched on a very slender piece of land between the road and the river, K'antuyoc may be as close to sleeping in a grove of eucalyptus as it gets without actually swinging from a hammock. From the café downstairs (which boasts a menu with seven different flavors of pancakes, typical plates like saltado de lomo, chicken and trout, and a healthy list of soups, salads and pastas), you can nearly reach out and touch the river as it slides narrowly between tree trunks. The rooms are few, but well kept by the friendly proprietor, and all have hot water.
