Ollantaytambo has a number of great eateries, each catering to a variety of budgets, palates and styles. From sophisticated modern cafés to popular gringo dives and Peruvian-style restaurants, Ollantaytambo has it all. The majority of cafés are centered near the main plaza, which is also a great place to scout out for vegetarian options. For the truly adventurous, drop by any one of the private houses displaying a red plastic bag on a pole outside the door. Here you can try the local chicha maize beer, and mingle with the lively and ever-hospitable local hosts.
