Hostal Varayoq

Hostal Varayoq calls itself a two-star hostel but this brand-new facility, right in the heart of the village of Pisac, has the look and feel of three-star hotel. Yet the prices are indeed hostel prices: single rooms start at $14, doubles and matrimoniales go for $28, with an American breakfast (with eggs, milk and fruit) included. This is probably the best bargain in this beautiful village that many stop at for a day, usually during the famous market fairs, on their way to Machu Picchu. Hostal Varayoq also has its own in-house restaurant, El Helecho, with excellent $5-7 prices for well-made local and continental cuisine.
