To try some excellent and safe traditional Peruvian food make your way to Restaurant Doña Clorinda. Despite its rather humble looking façade, the restaurant serves up some delicious dishes, such as lomo saltado and rocoto relleno. If you ask for a table upstairs, owner doña Clorinda will take you on a semi-tour of her house to a spacious dining room that overlooks the plaza. Try the basic lunch menu for $2, or splurge and get the slightly more extravagant version for $5.
