The best time to visit the Sacred Valley is during the dry season, which lasts from mid-April until November. The Sacred Valley is no different from the rest of Peru, and the dry season coincides with high tourist season. June through September is especially busy and if you plan on hiking the Inca Trail, be sure to book well in advance as last-minute spots are very hard, if not impossible, to come by. During the wet season, from November to April, there are significantly less tourists but, predictably, it is wetter. The Inca Trail is closed during February for maintenance, but all other treks in the region remain open.
