A little bit away from the Plaza de Armas in Urubamba, but closer to the foothills of the looming mountains of the Sacred Valley, the Hospedaje los Jardines has increasingly become the hostel of choice in this city for travelers from all over the world. As regards its name, it has a great, big, beautiful garden and a manicured lawn you can unwind on and contemplate the view of the aforementioned valley--if you are not distracted by the in-house jungle monkey, Juanito. A private room with a bathroom goes for $14, and a room for two is priced at $20. Breakfast is available for an additional two dollars. Hospedaje los Jardines rents bicycles and offers tours.
