In the town of Urubamba, Mach'a Wasi is a convenient and comfortable place for visitors to stay while exploring the natural, historic and cultural wonders of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. At an altitude of 2875 meters a.s.l., it is easier for visitors to acclimatize to higher altitudes in the Andes. If you are looking for a place where you will encounter less tourists, then come to Urubamba. It has a train service to Machu Picchu, and from the local bus station you can travel to many destinations.

The owner places a strong emphasis on running the business in harmony with Mother Nature as much as possible and encouraging the guests to do likewise, and further disseminate the importance of these aims, in their daily lives when they leave so that the planet can be better cared for and appreciated. Mach'a Wasi is a totally non-smoking environment. Drunken behaviour is not tolerated either.

The accommodation can house 13 people in 5 rooms featuring comfortable mattresses. Three of the rooms have their own shower, with another shower and a bath available for the remaining rooms. Hot showers are available at any time. Three rooms have a double bed; one of those rooms also containing two single beds, making it suitable for a small family. The other two rooms have three and two single beds respectively. If adventure travel, hiking, trekking or mountain biking is your pleasure, there are abundant mountain trails and less important ruins to discover.

Besides accommodation, the services of the hostel also include mountain bike tours and/or rental, using quality Trek and GT mountain bikes (with a reliable and well-maintained van), to suit small to large people, with front suspension, disc brakes, 24 gears, bell helmets, Trek gloves and tire repair kits. Bring your own pedals if you wish.
