Terra Andina (www.peru-travels.com) proposes a responsible tourism.
Village Indian Peninsula Capachica (on the banks of Lake Titicaca), Llachon is approximately 1:30 Puno. Sub frequented tourist sites compared to the most famous of the region (including Taquile, Amantani or Uros Islands) the village is not affected by the craze tourism in the region, and it was not receiving its economic impact. Sensibilized by one of the heads of family in the village, Felipe Ticona, the situation of isolation, we began in May 2003, in partnership with local communities, a development project. His idea was to make the necessary improvements to accommodate foreign tourists, while maintaining a framework and traditional lifestyles.
We are also working with the community of Quechua Quishuarani, which lies on the itinerary of one of our treks in the Cordillera Urubamba, far from the beaten track. We provide material support to the village school but also education (tours for children). In 2006, the agency has arranged for 30 children of the village a visit to Cusco, with the theme of travel discovery of wealth left by their ancestors.
