The Hotel Italia is located in the center of Puno and offers reasonably priced (if a little small) rooms. If you are in a group of three, the triple rooms are a good value. They also offer several vegetarian options in the in-house restaurant—a rarity in Peru and something to be sought out by vegetarians. All rooms have 24-hour hot water, private bathrooms and cable TV, with optional room service. They also offer valet service, which might be of interest to travelers arriving with their own transportation.
