Have you ever wanted to stay on your own island? Here's your chance. The Libertador hotel chain is one of Peru's most presitgious and luxurious, and the Hotel Libertador Puno is no exception. The hotel is located on Lake Titicaca, on Esteban Island, not far from downtown Puno. Every one of its 123 decadent rooms has a wonderful view, most of them of the lake.

The hotel has a pier from which lake tours depart to visit points of interest on the lake. Naturally, there is a five-star restaurant featuring regional specialties and a cozy bar where you can warm up after a chilly day at the lake. The prices put this hotel out of the reach of most visitors, but if you can afford it, it is probably the most comfortable and memorable place in Puno.
