Mid Range Hotels in Puno

Overview

In terms of accommodation, Puno caters more towards budget-backpackers than those seeking first-class service. The best options are located on the banks of Lake Titicaca, and are worth the taxi ride if you can afford to splurge. Most hotels and hostals are more than willing to bargain outside the high season (June-Sept), and you should always check out the place first (in particular it pays to ask if they have hot water). Despite its reputation for less-than-sparkling dives, Puno does have some luxury accommodations that are worth a look if your wallet can manage.
