Puno, Peru

Hotel

By John Howison

The Eco Inn outside of Puno sits right on the shore of Lake Titicaca, across from Esteves Island. Each room has a great view of the lake, courtesy of the natural light flooding in from the bow windows. All guests are supposed to have access to the observatory and the hotel’s telescope, which can be fun on dark, clear nights. Seemingly heavier in name than practice regarding its ‘eco-ness’, the Eco Inn is located away far enough away from the city center of Puno to allow for a relaxing retreat while still being close enough to easily go into town for the day or a meal.
