Restaurant

By Ricardo Segreda

This is a new restaurant inside the chic Casa Parodi mini-shopping center on the pedestrian Jiron Lima. They offer a modestly elegant environment and a creative Andean twist to standard favorites; i.e. chicken with a crunchy quinoa coating, as well as more standard preparations, such as traditional guinea pig with Andean corn and creole sauce. The prices at the Fonda de Santiago average at eight dollars a plate, which puts this restaurant in the high-end range for Puno. They seat up to 80, and won’t take credit cards, but will take groups.
