This museum-like restaurant is one of Puno's most popular places to eat. With three dining rooms with whitewashed walls, wooden floors, interesting colonial antiques, and religious artwork, La Casona exudes a distinct Spanish-style charm. This restaurant is a great (and safe) place to try traditional Peruvian fare like guinea pig and alpaca meat. Other Peruvian plates include chicken and beef with rice, and Titicaca lake fish such as trout and kingfish. Vegetarian pastas and soups are also available. If you're here for dinner, ask about the menú del día, which is not advertised, but is usually a great deal.
