Any trip to the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca will include at least a brief stop in the hip Copacabana, which overshadows Puno as the Lake´s cooler port city. Nestled between two imposing Andean peaks, Copacabana affords resplendent views of the Bolivian side´s major attractions—the frequented Isla del Sol and more remote Isla de la Luna. Jump on a dinghy to the Isla del Sol, spend the night, and you will feel as if Pachamama (Mother Earth) has blessed you as you watch the sun sink into the horizon of the altiplano, on the island where the sun was born, according to local mythology.
