Puno Things to See and Do

follow us

Though Puno is generally used as a starting off point to visit the surrounding islands, the city has several points of interest. Visit Puno's baroque cathedral, explore the oldest house in the area (now a cultural center) and the famous Yarav铆 ship. For fantastic views of the countryside and lake, climb the hills surrounding the town. A handful of museums in the area showcase the lake's history and ancient archaeological artifacts. Day trips may be made to archaeological sites and villages near Puno.
