Cerrito de Huajsapata - City Walk Puno - Peru

Atop Cerrito Huajsapata, Manco Cápac stares out over the city to Lago Titicaca, from whose waters, legend says, he emerged to found the Inca Empire. This imperial tribute the first Inca is 45-meters (148 feet) high. As with the Kuntur Wasi lookout, Cerrito of Huajsapata provides a spectacular view of the city and the lake. Manco Cápac stands before a wide concrete lot, popular with young amateur soccer players. Rumors say that inside the monument are subterranean portals that connect Puno to the Qoricanchana Temple in Cusco.
