Museo de la Coca y Costumbres (Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m., 3-8 p.m.; Sunday 3-8 p.m. Jr Dezu 301. Tel: 776-775, E-mail:, URL: Entry: Foreigners $2, nationals $0.80)—The medicinal and cultural uses of sacred coca; coca leaf readings may be arranged.

Museo de la Totora (daily 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Km 3 Panamericana Sur, Chimu community, 8 km / 5 mi north of Puno. Cel: 951-793-663, E-mail: Entry: By donation)—All about the decorative and utilitarian uses of totora, with a workshop where visitors can try their hands at crafting with the reed.

Museo Naval (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-1 p.m., 3-5:30 p.m. Av El Sol 725. Entry: Free)—The history of navigation on Lago Titicaca, from pre-Incan to modern times, with much information on totora rafts and steamships.
