Barranco's gastronomic scene reflects Lima's diverse and colorful food culture and has many options for a satisfying dining experience. If you aren't quite hungry enough for a big meal, meander through the passageway under El Puente de los Suspiros and pick up a quick treat from one of the various vendors along the way. If you do happen to be hungry enough for a large meal or want to make dinner a memorable experience, you'll find options for every pocketbook. Try a big bowl of ceviche on the beachfront.
Nightlife
Barranco is known for its bohemian scene and dance clubs of every type. Many, though, seem to have the lifespan of a fruit fly. Places close and new ones open according to whatever the latest vogue is. Almost a dozen bars are perched along Pasaje Carrión, between the Estación Bulevar Metropolitano stop and Barranco's Parque Municipal.
