Casa De La Literatura Peruana - Other Activity Lima - Peru

Casa de la Literatura is the place to go for a crash course on Peruvian literature. Guides lead you through five centuries of the country’s written word and oral traditions, from pre-Conquest times to the present. Through photographs, panels, videos, audio recordings and objects, the Casa’s 16 galleries present the nation’s major literary movements and their major players. All of the great writers are present, including César Vallejo, José María Arguedas, Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, Ciro Alegría and Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa. Casa de la Literatura Peruana frequently hosts literary readings, workshops, films and other events.
