Feria Manos Artesanas

Just outside the north entrance to the Parque de la Exposición is your opportunity to sample a tradition that pre-dates Peru itself: the folk bazaar. Under a bright yellow and red tent, this event sponsored by a variety of indigenous retail and cultural associations is a colorful, sometimes gaudy spectacle of folk art and services. Which is to say, beyond the crafts, you can also have your future divined or your back massaged. There are also a number of food vendors selling shish kabobs and ice cream, and even one restaurant, the Plazuela de los Artesanos, with indoor and outdoor seating, the latter being recommended due to the warm weather.
