Historical Building

By Dr. Crit Minster

A stunning church built by the Jesuits starting in the 16th century, St. Peter’s Church is one of Lima’s best-known landmarks. It is now a major visitor destination, as it features an impressive collection of fascinating colonial art. Because it was built over the course of 200 years, the cathedral is of particular interest to architecture students, as it is a mish-mash of techniques and styles.

Price Description: It is free to enter the church.

Open Hours from:Mon.-Sat. 7-12:30 and 5-8.
