Italian Art Museum / Museo de Arte Italiano

Only a short distance from the Parque de la Exposición, the Museo de Arte Italiano (Italian Art Museum) is a pleasant detour into Renaissance culture, complete with a neo-classical building and well-manicured front yard that evokes 16th-century Rome. Designed by Milanese architect Gaetano Moretti and donated by Peru’s Italian community to commemorate the centennial of Peru’s independence, it features a combination of contemporary and classical art, sculptures, paintings and furniture, as well as works by local artists.
