The Hostal de las Artes is located in Lima’s historical center, not far from Paseo Colón and Plaza Bolognesi. The hostel itself is in a nicely restored 19th-century home, most of which is relatively original (their website points out that their plumbing and hot water system have been modernized). They offer an array of lodging options in different rooms, such as single with bath, single without bath, double with bath, double without, etc. Whatever option you need, their rates are among the lowest in Lima. Rates are tax-free for foreigners.
