Hostal Roma

The well-regarded Hostal Roma is something of a Lima institution and has been in business for 35 years. Travelers can say they slept in a converted mansion that dates from 1892, located mere blocks away from the central square, cathedral and other points of interest. Hostal Roma has 36 rooms, all of which are singles, doubles or triples. During high season rates may go up, and they suggest you make reservations ahead of time through their website.

Traveler Reviews of Hostal Roma

No atmostphere

If you want to meet other travelers, I didn´t meet any here. Only one local guy. The front desk reception is cold and not very helpful. I´m here in the second half of June and thought there would be more backpackers. The bed was not clean, thank God I brought my own sheets.

Breakfast was not included!

And I had to pay US$5,00 for a small glass of orange juice, 2 thin slices of a hard bread, a very small portion of butter and a cup of coffee or tea. I took the coffee. It was awfull! Cold and tasteless! Of course I didn't have breakfast at the hotel the other days. If you walk five or four blocks you reach "Jirón de la Unión" and there you can have nice breakfast for the same five dollars.
