Travelers willing to pay a little extra, relatively speaking, for North American standards of upscale comfort might be tempted to park their dollars at the Hotel Continental. They’ll be sorry. Despite the presence of a large lobby and a restaurant, the hotel and its rooms could be described as threadbare at best. In both the corridors and units, the carpeting is old and dirty, and you can see rust and grime along the metal trims in the windows. Worst of all, the rooms come neither with air conditioning nor electric fans. The hotel does offer fax, internet, laundry service, parking and a continental breakfast, but all are easily available elsewhere in the area.
