For very undiscriminating travelers, the Wiracocha Hotel has one advantage: its proximity to the Plaza de Armas and all the other attractions in the Historical Center. Apart from that, Wiracocha is about as minimalist as a low-cost lodge in Peru can offer: rooms with or without bathrooms, lacking shower curtains. There is no electric fan and no television (though few people would miss the latter), and the rooms, while not filthy, could be described charitably as “institutional.”
