El Malecón
City Walk
Once considered the Soul of Chorrillos, locals used to spend lazy afternoons and moonlit evenings on this boardwalk. Since then, El Malecón has undergone two transformations, the first after the war with Chile, and the second at the beginning of the 20th century. Now, the once wooden planks have been replaced with bright tiled mosaics and the lighting system is electric instead of gas. With panoramic views of the bay of Lima, El Malecón proudly remains indestructible.
