If you want meat, if you really, really want meat, we’re talking a nice, big, juicy steak served with golden, crisp fries, a freshly tossed salad topped with an impeccable dressing, and all served with warm rolls and a fine red wine, head to El Hornero, a family-owned and-managed restaurant in Chorrillos. The beauty is of it is that you can indulge in all this while under an open window terrace, letting in a soft sea breeze and a view that stretches to the horizon. Of course, instead of a single meal, you could order an individual BBQ to be brought to your table, which easily feeds three or four hungry people. The BBQ comes with sausages, chicken, pork, steak. The meal sounds is perfected when you throw in the great Pisco Sours, sublime desserts, damask napkins, large goblets, friendly service and reasonable prices—yes, you’ve got it all at El Hornero. Open for lunch and dinner, but more popular at lunchtime. Try to get a table on the second floor.

The food is good. It's a great option to be able to bring your wine. The service is not bad but it's not nice to beg for some attention.
The restaurant view, location and food were great. I lived in Chorrillos 29 years ago, so I was proud to find such a great restaurant in my old neighborhood. The only bad thing was our server. Althought he did what he had to do, he was not friendly enough and did not even smile, which is a problem for such a great restaurant. Restaurant employees are the face of a business. If they look unhappy, it's hard to enjoy the meal, I think.
Excellent food, great views of the Pacific Ocean and extremely polite staff. There were 15 of us (we brought our own wine), most of us had filet mignon and the check came out to $250 dollars.
The meat was great, really tasty and juicy. But, I think the waiters are either overrun or underpaid, because they didn't match the check.
EXCELLENT MEATS!!!!
The service was terrible! The waiter cleared the table while my mom was still eating, he only left her plate... He offered us wine from the restaurant's list and we declined, since we brought our own wine (it's allowed). That's what, we think, ticked him off. I don't remeber his name, but he was wearing a chunky gold ring on his pinky.
