The Museo de Historia Natural (Museum of Natural History) was founded on February 28, 1918. It consists of four main divisions: botany, zoology, ecology and geology. Browse Peruvian landscapes and a modest taxidermy collection that highlights the region’s mammals, primates, invertebrates, birds, botany, fossils, dinosaurs, fish and minerals. A few hours spent here will get you ready for spotting the fauna and fauna in the country's divergent environments, from altiplano to jungle, from sea to desert.
