The Lima Art Museum has the best collection of Peruvian art in the country. The paintings cover the colonial era to the present, and there is also a selection of woodcarvings, furniture, etc. There is also a coffee shop, gift shop and movie theater. Check with the museum before you visit, as they often arrange interesting temporary exhibits.
