
Lima is legendary for its world-class restaurants, and is the epicenter of Peruvian and Novo Andino cuisine which has gained worldwide culinary fame. Lima has restaurants for all budgets. For starters, honey, if you got the money, then Miraflores is your kind of 'hood. The highest concentration of the high-end, ritzy restaurants are in Miraflores. Another area for some of Lima’s finest restaurants is San Isidro. Barranco has a wide range of dining choices, from street food to international fare. Restaurants in Central Lima are almost all about cheap eats. Restaurants that have passed special inspections display a "Healthy Restaurant" sign.
Vea Plaza and Metro have supermarkets all over the city. The central market (Ayacucho and Ucayali) is in Central Lima, six blocks east of the Plaza de Armas. The Biosfera market held Saturdays in Miraflores offers organic products.
