Tour Operator

By Ricardo Segreda

The only one of its kind so far in Lima, the Mirabus tour bus is highly recommended for newcomers to Lima, especially upon arriving. They offer a variety of urban tours on their open air double-decker bus, some for one hour around the historical district and some for a more inclusive three hours, going as far as the beach towns of Miraflores and Chorillos. The guide explains the history and background of many Lima landmarks, letting you know which monument, for example, was built by Gustave Eiffel, of Eiffel tower fame, or that the Palace of Justice is almost an exact duplicate of the one in Brussels. Private excursions are also available. However, they only offer tours in Spanish.
